"I've never stuck to one view of what is good in design. My personal goals have always been: to help organizations to express themselves, in their own particular way, for the benefit of anyone with whom they’re involved. And do this in a way that brings value to everyone and to the world that we all share."

Brochure layout Research

From my crit I realised that I needed to think about my audiences more and how they would want outcomes to be rather than myself. at the moment I am currently thinking bout my portfolio too much and not considering clients needs. I am currently working on a lot of briefs with clients to ensure I am getting the experience of clients and designing for clients for a market rather than my self. I am therefore picking briefs that suit my rational which is currently underpinning what I am as a designer I need to be aware of what i need to do and how I approach briefs.

The brochure designs shown to the left show the bright colours and typographic research of layout. currently I am struggling on how to layout typography when there is an substantial amount and how to make it not over power the reader making them not want to read it.

Another way to promote self

Looking at carton packaing I came across this packaging for graphic designers end of year show. THe idea is clever but doesn't represent the fresh theme that seems like an obvious concept for the product. I think there are ways in which this can be improved to a better concept as currently the design doesn't necessary represent the students although the design is visually pleasing.

Reforestación Extrema

Reforestación Extrema is a non-profit organization searching the reforestation of lost green areas and trees in different cities in Mexico. They are in charge of renewing sidewalks, parks and public spaces as well as the conservation of mature trees in the cities. For this brand, we decided to use a logotype that made reference to a natural figure, in this case a tree that represented the actions and vision of Reforestación Extrema. This solution allows the use of stencil application for urban surfaces with a simple and easy to replicate figure.
